pbarosso Posted July 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2012 very simple: people who promote conspiracy theories (alien installations on moon, faked moon landings, google earth crap, etc...) are out to deceive us. there are so many videos on youtube that are full of crap, and then here are those that seem well researched and all that, but are still full of crap. snapshots of egyptian "helicopters" or "flying machines" really spread disinformation and i think that they know it, or many know it, and are doing it on purpose because so many of us are gullible. they make money on it plain and simple. in fact we could all make up our own conspiracy theories and potentially make money deceiving thousands of people who are simply naive. what do you think?

questionmark Posted July 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) yes and no. In all things there generally is a lead goat, who knows what he/she is doing and the sheeple who do it because the lead goat does. As an example, certainly the UFO rumors covered the real activities of places like Area 51 for a long time. Likely Guy Posted July 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2012 The increased rate of conspricacy theories directly corresponds to the advent of the internet. Research: 'Chemtrails'. It wasn't an issue prior to 1996.
