Punishment For Unwanted Thoughts?

The Lone Ranger

Recommended Posts

It is said that if you think something bad about somebody, or wish for something that is not right you wil be punished.

what this punishment will be can depend on religion, culture etc.

example: karma or going to hell

Well what if dont want these thoughts. what if you suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, schizofrenia, paranoia or something that makes you think in a way about people, etc.

You can be forced to do actions and you can have thoughts with which you don`t concur.

I dont think that there are any written textures on it....

but what could be the consequences?

From my personal view, prayers and speaking to a minister of the word. Become an active member in a nurturing environment.

Well, wouldn't the inner battle you have with yourself over these obsessive thoughts be punishment enough?

The thoughts and deeds of humans are only judged/judgeable on the basis that they have free will, and can chose the thoughts and deed in their lives. Anyone who has no control over their thoughts(or their deeds) is not accountable for them. They have no free will and cannot be judged

It is hard enough not being in complete control of your life or thoughts let alone also worring that you will be judged on them. You won't. You can't be judged for things you can't control The reason humans have souls and conscience is only because they know good from evil and can chose either. Thus a child who has no knowledge of good and evil or consequence, cant be judged, and an adult who cannot control their thoughts or actions cannot be judged. It would be like judging a flower for opening, or an ape for killing its rivals, or a person for dieing.
