Patti MacDonald, 60, of Hauser, was charged with a misdemeanor count of beating or harassing an animal... http://www.usnews.co...on-to-save-duck
Bendy Demon Posted March 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2015 What if it was a dog? Would this daft woman killed that too? You cannot save everything nor should you. Hunting by falcon is legal in many states (as I understand) so just leave well enough alone. This goodie-two-shoes should focus her efforts on something relevant, like bringing meals to elderly neighbors that cannot otherwise get out or something.
Lilly Posted March 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2015 So this ding-bat lady kills a bird to save a bird...makes no sense whatsoever. Was she by any chance affiliated with PETA?

Keel M. Posted March 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Stupid woman. I hope someone beats her senseless with a beaded scarf. She should also be forced to pay for the replacement of the falcon.
Sir Smoke aLot Posted March 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2015 If she was able to kill one bird she didn't care for duck at all but was doing it to please herself. Bad, bad.

rashore Posted March 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Such ignorance just takes my breath away. She should get hit with the jail time and fine for killing the falcon- and get hit with the fine for killing an endangered species too- and buy him a new bird as well. And how stupid to approach any animal on the attack, what if it had been a wild bird? I feel so bad for that poor falcon- it was doing what it was raised, trained, and loved to do and got beat to death for it- it must have been terrified and bewildered in it's last moments for being beaten to death for doing what it was supposed to do. Lilly Posted March 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Humans frequently treat animals horrifically for simply being animals. This woman needs to have the book thrown at her. Others need to realize that their screwy notions do not supercede the law.

Grandpa Greenman Posted March 17, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Yup, that is just not right. She should be thrown in jail. I have a neighbor who is like that, she passes her judgement on what is good and bad in nature like she owns it. Lately she has a vendetta against starlings. She has been hunting them with a pellet gun. Other day I am sitting in the yard and zing I hear one going through the tree just above my head. She says she is a bad shot and never really hits anything, I pointed out that bullet goes until it hits something and I would be really p***ed if it was me.
