ive never had allergies before, but for some reason i have them now. im absolutely miserable.

so now im on allegra, which is supposedly non-drowsy and yet im a red-faced, groggy wretch. if anyone wonders why my posts are even more incoherent and rambling than usual, now you know why laugh.gif

if anyone else is suffering, i have the utmost sympathy for you. i never knew it could be so bad.

I was never allergic to anything 'till I passed 30. Maybe age has something to do with it.

Be careful what you take to "help." Some side-effects may include:

Irritated eyes

Runny nose

Skin rash

High Blood pressure

Low blood pressure

Hair loss

Nose bleed

Adverse sexual side effects ohmy.gif

Sleepiness AND Insomnia huh.gif

Water retension

Joint aches

Diarria

Bleeding gums

And those are just the over-the-counter things.

It's normal for the human body to lose its tolerances for certain things as it gets older. Most people who suffer allergies are either born with them or they come on after a period of time. Other bodily changes can happen as well, like Lactose Intolerance, the inability to digest certain foods or liquids and the list can go on. I saw just learn to live with it and hope that other forms of deviations don't crop up.

I started with a nasal allergy - we think maybe it's dust - and my nose would stream

and my eyes would puff up and all the rest. I took lots of different things and they all

made me drowsy etc.

The best remedy I have is a nasal spray bought over the counter. It's quite pricey but

it works and prevents the dust/pollen getting onto the lining of the nose. Works for

me.

Try it.

Actually the best stuff I have used is a herbal remedie called ludlum( I think thats how you spell it ) but they will be able to help you in the health food shops .

Are you sure your not suffering from a sympathetic pregnancy of some sort Shwartz biggrin.gif

im quite sure. ive never been so miserable in my life- and the doctor verified yesterday that i had a raging sinus infection from my allergies being so bad. now, im back at work and that makes me more miserable. seems my 'backup' decided to screw off while i was away and ive returned to a total nightmare situation- stacks and stacks of work all left untouched from the day i left. i had counted on this, and thats why i went back before im even feeling better.

im beginning to wonder if im the only person who actually works in my building. i mean, i know the other people move around from place to place during the day, but they are just blurs as i try to keep up with the torrent of tasks that im given to complete. they are really blurry now as im totally doped up.
