In this instance I disagree.

Fair enough, it's your choice. :) (EDIT: I don't mean anything nasty by this, it sounded kinda sarcastic or something, I normally agree with you most things and just wanted to make it clear I have nothing against your opinion)

I'm guessing you didn't get the Country life butter ad in the US?

Lost a little bit of respect for him doing an advert. Still like him, just think he shouldn't have done it, unless he actually likes the butter. lol
Another counter culture icon bites the dust!  No we did not get that commercial in the USA.  Oh Johnny.

You're from Canada?  Did you move there from Thatchers England?

I'm with Queen in the North;  Thatcher was an absolute blight on the country. And Coffey: we stood up to her re. the Poll Tax and that was scrapped(eventually). It really isn't that easy to make a government do what you want it to do .......... especially if you're already ground down by life and barely able to keep your own situation going from day to day.
You know, Bill Clinton signed NAFTA and my career of 15 years dried up and blew away up to Canada and down to Mexico.  I lost that job in 1999 and just in the last couple of years started to make as much money as I did then, which when adjusted for inflation still means I made more then.  Bill Clinton also destroyed the worlds economy when he repealed the Glass steagal act removing many regulatory mechanisms from the banking industry.  But I will not be dancing on his grave.  The world is what it is.

After Thatcher took office, a year later suicides among miners increased, and can we guess who all was toasting her new policies?

If she celebrated their deaths, directly or indirectly, it is no surprise others will do the same at her demise.

And presumably you have some evidence she celebrated miners' deaths? Or was even responsible for them? Didn't think so.

I've said it before and will again: If you were against Thatcher's policies, the time to celebrate was when she left government, not her death. Show some respect to her family at least.

'Good' is not the same as 'nice'.
'No, murder is running your broadsword through someone because he worships a different God to you... Or is that evangelism? I get confused.'

I don't object to the concept of a deity but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance.

I really hate 99.99% of commercials and not happy about celebrities who sell out to corporations.
But I liked Johnny's commercial though.   I thought it was entertaining.

John Cleese did an amusing TV commercial in the US, though I can't even remember the product he was selling.

I am another anonymous face in the crowd. I am just another tiny wheel in the machinery of the world I live in.

I found it entertaining as well to be honest. Seen far worse. lol

Haven't seen that one, I'll search for it later.

What a character ay?

I remember seeing him on an episode of Judge Judy. He was pretty much teasing the plaintiff, the crowd and actually even Judge Judy laughed.

Persumably this is not a great concern since most of her diehard supporters are so old they might injure themselves in the mere attempt without even connecting. Anyways isn't that a lower class thing to do? Resort to violence.
