I've not done this before  but how do the games work?

Is it you go on and have a game say for an hour? Or does it work you do a move and wait and your next move could be in a hour or so.....

The chess site we use is correspondance chess, so the games aren't live. There is no strict time limit, you can take as long as you like to make your next move, however if you take more than a week to move you risk being penalised from that particular game. You can see how much time you have left to make your next move on the game so you'll always know how long there is left.

Ignore my last post. I've decided not to take part in this tournament, I don't think I'll have the time to dedicate to keeping up with this one.

I'll be keeping a watch on everyone elses scores, though. Good luck to all. thumbsup.gif

Ok, first of all thanks to everyone who has signed up for the tournament. thumbsup.gif

We now have the optimum number of signups, 30 people.

The application thread is going to be closed for now, if you are interested in taking part and didn't put your name down, there may still be a chance for you if someone bows out before we've started. Keep an eye on this section of the forum for details.
