FollowTheTrail Posted January 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2015 Zara Hayes paid £450 for two-year-old mother Keela after seeing an advert saying she was "possibly pregnant". She was worried Keela would be exploited because doberman pups are often sold for more than £1,000 each. Zara, who runs dog rescue centre Yappy Ever After, rehomed the pregnant pet with "foster parent" Cat Davis, 33, in Cardiff. Vets thought Keela was expecting just five or six pups so they were stunned when she gave birth to 14 – appropriately on December 14. The lively pups have now taken over Cat's terraced house and eat an 11lb bag of food between them every day. Cat, who will keep new mum Keela, said: "They've taken over my house and my life. There isn't much space not taken up by dogs. But it is worth it to make sure they are safe." The cute pooches are thought to have broken the British record for a Doberman litter. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/pictured-doberman-shocks-new-owner-5037275
Likely Guy Posted January 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2015 There's nothing cuter than a basket load of puppies. But 14? Holy.

TheDarkerSide Posted January 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2015 That's a lot of poopy scooping. But bless that lady for taking on the mummy in the first place. Hopefully they will all find good, loving stable homes.
Wickian Posted January 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2015 The best dog I ever had was a Doberman/Greyhound mix. She was an extremely smart and dominant dog, even after she over 10 years old she put a full grown Great Dane into submission and never once acted violently towards anything that wasn't a threat to us kids growing up. We could even tell her to go find something, and she would just sniffing around for anything out of place and alert us where it was.

Ealdwita Posted January 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2015 At perhaps almost £1,000 per pup, looks likes somebody's due to make a few bob!
