Waspie_Dwarf Posted June 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2012 Proton launch delayed by issue in steering system A problem with the steering system on a Proton rocket has forced an indefinitely delay in the launch of the SES 5 communications satellite, which had been set to take off Monday from Kazakhstan, according to the launcher's Russian contractor.The Proton rocket rocked was already installed on the launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for liftoff Monday. But after initially announcing a 24-hour delay, the Proton rocket's builder -Khrunichev - issued a statement Tuesday saying there would be a further launch slip. Read more...
