The kind that make you uneasy, uncomfortable, and make you want to take a shower afterwards.

Any good suggestions ?

I can think of several very unusual films that cut beneath the surface of ordinary existence

Stalker (1979) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079944/ - a russian sci-fi set in a bleak dystopian industrial landscape

Santa Sangre (1989) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098253/ - I only saw it once but its a genuinely weird and sad film about a young man and his mother who both use to be circus performers. The young mans mother has no arms he becomes her arms against his will...

Blue Velvet (1986) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090756/ - Great and weird film from David Lynch

Alice (Neco z Alenky)  (1988) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095715/ - this is the most surreal adaptation of the Lewis Carrol novel from Czechoslovakia.

Never have I seen anything so strange.
I still await the compelling Exhibit A.

Eraserhead...  so weird and bizarre that we all piled into a car and drove into town during a tornadic storm to watch a real movie, rather than keep watching it...

Hmmm... Oldboy was a bit of an oddity. The live octopus scene is a bit hairs-on-the-back-of-the-neck-arise...

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is certainly loopy enough that you have to watch it a couple of times to get what's going on. Very entertaining though.

The Misanthropist by Ted "Nocturno Culto". Nothing uncomfortable, but incredibly strange.
