Someone is sure to get around to making a good one sooner or later.

This thread is so great!  Makes me wish I knew how to photoshop!  Or post a pic to a thread, I still don't know how to do that.

I used this on one of my earlier raptor pics. Really needs a touch up but too short on time at the moment.

Finally downloaded GIMP. Just a question to the other guys using it. When you are cutting a raptor or something out of another picture, do you use the eraser tool and just go around its edges or is there some magic button that will do it for me? lol

I primarily use the free select tool for cutting.  You might find this tutorial useful, as it covers a lot of good tools and methods used for this kind of photo manipulation.

There are a lot of places that offer free image hosting, and yes you can upload directly to UM's gallery too.  I use photobucket myself, but have also used flickr.

I just use photobucket and copy the image url so I can paste it in the body of my post instead of as an attachment.

Great start Wild :)

Its the idea as much as the implementation and your idea works.

I use PhotoBucket for my image hosting, it does what it says on the tin, and even has some image editing tools too.

I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. Anyway, it's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.
