Himalayan Mystic Posted May 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2015 We are born absolutely fine, complete and for most of us the first seven years of life seem to be the beautiful. Over a period of time, experiences accumulate and a heap of impressions enters the brain. A negative experience can remain stuck for a really long time. It can keep influencing us and deeply influence our choices, lifestyle, decisions and almost every thing. Past trauma's can be painful and these experiences seem to be somehow in auto repeat mode in the brain. Surfacing whenever their are triggers. Now, all this is common knowledge and various therapies seem to target these issues. A particular therapist may be more effective and another may just give us some reassurance, even that can be useful. But, what's really important is how to actually release these impressions. How can we resolve it completely. How does that work. It's my observation that too many people need to release a host of impressions. These deep impressions seem to plague us for lifetimes and we need to find effective solutions for them. I hope some UM members will give their opinions, share their experiences, and may be we could discuss what has worked and what clearly doesn't.
Mark One Posted May 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) I feel that we need to experience bad things in order to comprehend some nagging aspect of our souls development. In some cases where it seems very difficult to release some of the built up impressions perhaps it a case of how we adapt to them. Could that be one method of removing them between lifes? Himalayan Mystic Posted May 8, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 8, 2015 If we study religious theory then that's definitely true, theoretically. A soul experiences what it made another experience and both sides of the coin are experienced until there is understanding, the lesson is learned as per the souls plan or soul agenda, and then the issue resolves. But, what about trying do it all in one lifetime, like in a psychotherapy or counselling session. What about someone who needs help right now, like not having to wait so much.
