We have some new spiders in Seattle too, or at least some that I have never seen before. Big and hairy and I really hope they don't bite. Its probably not that big for some folks, because I am from Seattle (we generally have little bugs because of the cold weather). I have seen one about six inches in diameter, you can make out their whole face, and count their toes... smh too much, very scary I had to kill one and it probably was nice but scared the hell out of me. Green slime came out of it, or kind of like mucus. oh it was nasty...

That's pretty interesting a species that large has gone undiscovered, if I found a 3 inch around spider in the US I'd probably come running here to ask what the hell it is.

Trogloraptor marchingtoni. Interesting. And to think it was found so close to my current residence. I never saw it coming. I'll have to get out to those caves and have a look for myself one of these days.
Try to realize it's all within yourself / No-one else can make you change / And to see you're really only very small / And life flows on within you and without you. / We were talking about the love that's gone so cold and the people / Who gain the world and lose their soul / They don't know they can't see are you one of them? / When you've seen beyond yourself then you may find peace of mind / Is waiting there / And the time will come / when you see we're all one and life flows on within you and without you. ~ George Harrison
