hazy cosmic jive Posted July 25, 2003 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2003 My friend just sent me this pic of a ghost at the National cemetary in gettysburg PA, a major battlefield in the american civil war. what do you all think of it? Looks a little too good to be true to me, but i checked it with a couple techniques in photoshop and nothing too obvious stands out. here is the pic There are a lot of WW2 vets burried in the cemetary, and that is the section the bench is in. I am only telling you because i don't want to destroy my credibility for what i am about to show you. you know, "The boy who cried wolf." Thinking i had no ghost pics from my trip to gettysburg i began sizing them down so they would have smaller file sizes, and then this picture caught my eye. http://users.adelphia.net/~bsanzen/big.jpg here is an enlargement of the area in question. http://users.adelphia.net/~bsanzen/possibl...%20enlarged.jpg my friend thinks the thing, which looks sort of like a head and shoulders(but i'm not jumping to conclusions) is behind the tree, which would make it part of that large boulder. i think it is in front, which would make it god knows what. note the strange "skirt" of ripples around it. that is very strange to me. I have examined it closely and I think there is no way it could be behind the tree. the lighting does not cooperate with that. If you guys have any ideas as to what it looks like, please post them. Again I'm sorry about the hoax above, but i got bored and decided to see how realistic i could make one. please don't hold that against me. I think finding out what the truth in the second one is could be exciting. my friend and I are going back in a few days to see if the extruding "thing" is part of the rock or a beehive. i imaging if it were a beehive of that size it would be removed from a crowded park. Again I'm sorry about the phony. it was my first phony, and my last phony. I shouldn't have done it, but I was bored. I'm like small time theif. I think if you look at the two pictures, you'll realize that the second one doesn't jump out right away as being fake, and that's the best arguement i've got i guess.
