Still Waters Posted January 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2013 The first microwave oven appeared on the market more than six decades ago. Invented by American engineer Percy Spencer just after World War II, the contraption has since taken over our kitchens and revolutionised the way we eat. A fifth of us now believe heating up a microwave meal counts as cooking, according to a recent report. And last Christmas microwaves proved more popular than ever, with sales up by 16 per cent at John Lewis. But do you know just how useful your microwave can be - apart from cooking those ready meals? We take a look at some of the surprising things microwaves can do . . . http://www.dailymail...en-avocado.html
freetoroam Posted January 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2013 haha, like some of the ideas, but socks? have they not heard of washing machines or even washing them by hand? i would not be putting my coffee to heat up in the microwave after my husbands socks have been in there! I wouldn't even be putting my coffee in the microwave to heat up as well as the socks. It's much better to place your coffee beans in the percolator till it's white and fluffy. Tbh it dosn't matter where you put your socks because you are always going to get odd pairs. Edited January 12, 2013 by Medium Brown

freetoroam Posted January 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2013 But how are you going to get the perfect cappuchino? Do not do loads of frothy milk, takes the taste away from my percolated coffee. And as for "decaffeinated espresso"...whats the point in that? people who drink that are just wannabe coffee drinkers but haven`t got the balls. Screw the boring subject of socks being left in the microwave. Why don't we talk about the subject of coffee exclusively. That's means everything including mocha, lattes and cappuchino's. I'll start off with the fact that it gives you an edge but you shrink in size. Just like me or Jack Reacher in his movie or is that just Tom Cruise? It dosn't matter because it's the only energy drink for me. If only I can make it out of something else apart from a kettle. Btw I agree with you about the decaff because it's the Diet Coke of coffee. Edited January 13, 2013 by Medium Brown
