S. Carolina Lt. Gov. asks Sanford to resign

This is a pretty good one...and funny in that this line is so rarely seen these days:

Republican Gov. Sanford has come under increased scrutiny since he returned from a nearly weeklong disappearance in June to admit he'd been in Argentina to visit his mistress. His staff had been led to believe he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.

In the grand scheme of things...not a huge deal, he has an Argentinian Mistress and was spending a ton of the taxpayers money to go see her(Sans wife and kids of course) in the lifestyle in which he would like to be come accustomed.

You know what slays me? It doesn't really get a mention by the morality police on TV or here that normally go on for days about someone with a D next to their name caught doing something unethical; i.e. Edwards or Clinton, somehow having that ® gets it all swept under the rug. I bet if he were to switch parties tomorrow that fox news would have the graphics guys making up the headlines right away...

Moral of the story is...

...

...

Wow, that is just a target rich environment too many. You cant take your own moral of the story. I will start:

If you have a hottie Argentinian Mistress get a valid alibi, not a cheesy sophmoric "I am going camping with the guys excuse".

Or better yet, role play with your wife like she's the hottie Argentinian Mistress when you go camping, and avoid all the stress and legal fees.

(CNN) – South Carolina's lieutenant governor on Wednesday accused Gov. Mark Sanford of "serious misconduct" in office and said the time has come for the embattled governor to resign.

Andre Bauer is the highest-ranking official so far to call on Sanford to step down. He said he tried to remain supportive of the governor after he admitted to an extramarital affair in June, but subsequent investigations into Sanford's foreign and domestic travel expenses have become too much of a distraction for the state Several GOP lawmakers have said that Sanford, also a Republican, violated South Carolina law by paying for pricey seats on international flights and using state aircraft for personal and political purposes.

"Regrettably, we have reached a point where we must all put the interests of the people of South Carolina first," Bauer said at a news conference inside the state house in Columbia. "It is my opinion that the best interests of the people of South Carolina can no longer be served by the current administration."

Sanford has scheduled a news conference for 3:30 p.m. ET to respond to Bauer's comments.

His findings follow a report last month by The Associated Press that Sanford, who once criticized other state officials for costly travel, charged the state more than $37,600 since November 2005 for pricier flights overseas.

Fox News is doing the right thing here by not reporting because to do so violate Article 6 Section 8 of Man Law which states 'Let a playa play" and Fox News is protected under the Wingman Act of 1544 not to mention Cockblocking is a capitol offense.

At least he went to a whole different country to do it were as Clinton just poked his out of the oval office and just said "You...no, no...You, the uglier one, come in here for a min" and Kennedy who just said screw it if I'm going to do it I'm going to do it right and go for the highest profile lay I can get.

I dont know who this guy p***ed off, but who ever it was they must be high on the ladder. He was one of those who refused stimulas money, at his own expense I guess. Seems damn near every polition has dirty secrets in thier closets. From affair's, to tax evasion, ties to lobbiests, prostitution rings, pediphiles, all the way down to several DWI's. So to me, when you see a guy singled out for a affair (even on tax payer money) you know he wasnt towing the line so to speak. Mrs 0bama has over 20 assistance at her beck and call, all on tax payer money, but no one seems to care. And Im guessing no one cares, cause major media doesnt tell them to care.

Not to defend his actions, obviously that was a dumb, even criminal move. But you could go right down the line and bag damn near any of them for the same or worse.

Women like men in positions of power...and when your a middle age man(or older) who has probably grown tired of their wife, temptation takes hold.

It can be said that even a good man has to get his hands a bit dirty to do good in politics...and it also can be said that power will eventually corrupt even the best of men.

Everybody has their price, no exceptions.

I'd like to see him resign. I don't care what party he is in.

And yes I agree, the majority of politicians in office are probably guilty of one thing or another. But you can't do much about it until they get busted for something. But once they do, they need thrown out.

Personaly I think voting yes for a 1000 page bill that just came off the printer, that will allow the government to call you a "trespasser" in your own home, for not meeting thier green standards is a far worse crime. Everyone of those who voted in favor of cap and trade, in the middle of the night, should be in a jail cell.
