jesspy Posted December 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2010 This was the year the Earth struck back. Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, volcanoes, super typhoons, blizzards, landslides and droughts killed at least a quarter of a million people in 2010 – the deadliest year in more than a generation. More people were killed worldwide by natural disasters this year than have been killed in terrorism attacks in the past 40 years combined. Andami Posted December 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2010 To be fair, mother nature is much more dangerous than terrorists. Also, what about 2004? That Indonesian tsunami killed a quarter of a million people by itself. That doesn't even count everything else that happened that year like Hurricanes Jeannie and Ivan. That year must have been pretty close in the death toll.
