The Ghost Tried to Stop Me From Posting This

Alright, I'm just gonna be quick because when I first wrote this, whatever IT was kicked me off the internet very suddenly.

I have been being haunted by a ghost in my room for roughly 3-4 years, it's never been a real bother, except for the occasional paranormal activity once a year. Blue orb on the side of my porch, opening the door and seeing/feeling flames that aren't really there, and recently… the tapping.

I just found out my parents and I are going to have to move again, and apparently this thing isn't happy to see us go as much as I'm not happy about leaving. Me and it have basically had a mutual understanding between us, the "I leave you alone, you leave me alone" type of deal, and we've never talked outright. That doesn't mean I like living with this thing, but apparently it does enjoy living with me.

Before I discovered I would have to move, I and him (at least, I think it's a him) had already been having some issues. In fact, I've began to wonder if there isn't more than one in my room, but that's a story for another time.

For years, i've said I was paranoid, but since things have started up again (and this isn't the first paranormal activity I've experienced, long story, tell ya later) I finally just asked, "is someone there?" out loud, to myself. No answer. A weight was lifted off my shoulders.

Then I had a weird dream a little later that I'd rather not discuss. And when I woke up… I could feel it. It was pressing against my face. I didn't try to move, but I opened my mouth a little, and suddenly it said in an angry tone "am I...? AM I ?!?"

I didn't answer, but it left, and I immediately I got up, unable to sleep.

This was before the tapping. I didn't tell anyone about it until now. And this was before the tapping.

The tapping started the night I found out my family was going to have to move. Whatever it was had been peeping out the corner of my eye and such the last few days, and that night I was ticked off.

I tried to sleep, and then… near my foot, through my covers on my leg… "tip-tap…tip-tap…tip-tap" for about five to ten seconds. Without really thinking I yelled at it "I AM NOT IN THE MOOD RIGHT NOW!" and the tapping stopped.

He stayed awhile after he stopped, and I decided for once to talk to him. He didn't answer any of my questions really, except on things where he outright said NO, by loudly tapping twice on the closet door.

Eventually I just read a book, ignored him and went to sleep. Sometimes a I wonder if he's there and I get a small, one tap out of no where, which he and I had decided that night meant "Yes". I pray there that I'm just being paranoid, because the last thing i need is a ghost reading my thoughts.

The day after I told him to leave me alone, I went on the way to my bus stop, which i've come to realize from the way the neighborhood cats reacts and the weird almost voice like sounds that whisper in my ear that he follows me to.

I usually, due to the huge amount of lights everyone has in there front yards, can have up to three of my own shadow, and that morning, strangely, I only had one singular one.

I thought maybe just maybe it had decided to leave me alone, give me a day off. It was a pretty normal day, but I didn't feel like there was something watching me throughout it.

But I am now more sensitive as to when it watches me. For a while I thought it didn't follow me too school, but now I realize it does. It's moved from my closet to the side of my bed, and it tried to crawl into bed with me (more than once).

Last night as i was reading before bed, I saw the blue orb again. I hadn't seen it since sophomore year. I think him and it might be one and the same, but i'm not truly certain.

I don't know really what to do, I just wish that knew what it wanted. I felt like I should share my story see if something like this has happened to someone else, but apparently he may not feel the same way...

I found this very interesting to read. I wonder, if you believe this is happening to you, keep talking to it. Actually confidently saying where you stand and what you think they should do.

I often had thought about the military house I lived in was haunted. (I actually believed it helped me write and finish a fictional story. I normally don't finish, and even though I'm a bit skeptic about ghosts keeping you from the internet, your experience brought on my memory of mine .) )

That military house is gone now. (last visit there, and all I was staring at was a parking lot) I wonder, if it was haunted, ( have seen way to many unexplained things there) what happened to the unliving residents.

Welcome to UM! 25tkkki.jpg

I have a few questions. When did this start and how old were you?

Do you take any medications?

I really hope you get this figured out soon! I've heard that if you tell something like this, if it indeed is a ghost, to GO AWAY in a very firm voice that they will leave.

Otherwise, have you told anyone else around you this is happening? I only ask because sometimes there could be something happening in the brain you need to get checked out. You need to make sure there are no issues with your heath before you can figure out what to do next.

Take care :)

^^^^ This is pretty much spot on.

Also, i use a fan to go to sleep at night. If i lie there and listen good enough, i can make out whispers and what sounds like conversations. BUT, the sound of the fan produces 'White Noise'; and this white noise can make it sound as if you're actually hearing voices, and even hearing songs play. There could be many natural phenomenon to explain most paranormal activity, and i would rule all of them out before i would believe it was a ghost.

Cheers.

Also. When i turn on the sink, i can hear the pipes creaking and knocking, and it can even sound like a rhythmic tapping in the walls. Try and pay attention to the tapping. See if it usually happens after you or your parents have used the sink, shower, bathtub ect... This can sometimes go on quiet some time.

Obviously it could be an underlying/developing mental disorder but it could be paranormal, I haven't experienced what you purport but I also do not know if there's a separation between imaginings/synchronicity and assumptions and events that actually occurred. I don't believe anything you've experienced indicates a serious mental problem though but it's always prudent to make the point.

It sounds like paranoia growing with the concept of 'I'm being haunted!' vs an actual moderate haunting, I have no idea which one since they are both as accurate as one another if that makes sense.

Was there a specific time period or event where you started noticing things, did it correspond with stress or substance usage etc

Can you personally easily dissect 'coincidence' or normal things occurring like noises or lights that in 99% of cases have rational explanations, against paranormal occurrences?

Why do you think a potential spirit would be haunting you, did you use a ouija board or do you believe it came from the building's past? Do you know the building's history and occupants?

Does anybody else complain of this entity?

One of my friends actually moved from Wales before coming to the college I was at because believe it or not a victorian gent in a tophat started appearing and stalking him so to speak, there was a picture in the attic at the back of this man, his mother found 2 years on from the start. We talked at great length about this constantly and I don't believe he was schizophrenic or anything at all. He was imaginative as hell and so am I, I lived in a haunted pub for years where my toy cars teleported into the cellar through two locked doors a couple times a week lol so strange things happen. I was also at his house when his dead grandad went down for his '5am cigarette' or his lingering energy so to speak, smell the smoke and everything and the footsteps on the stairs, and no it wasn't his mum or dad either.

If you are hearing tapping, it is probably the ghost of Shirley Temple!

Only kidding.

A paranormal incident once a year is nothing! I lived in a haunted house throughout my childhood, and we had incidents every day! Can't you just ignore it? It really doesn't sound too bad.

It's the ghost of the failed Comcast / Time Warner merger.

I'm kidding. You write very well, definitely peaked my interest.

Hi, as I was reading I started to sense what that thing was until my phone rang. It was a lengthy call by a friend and it distracted me from this thread, sorry. It broke off my concetration.

Okay I'll try rereading it.

You mentioned a blue orb, and this can be quite harmless.

Blue spirits tend to be associated with peace and a feeling of calm. It's a benign colour. Whatever you've experienced is gentle and also protective.

Now I get this feeling that this is not a man in spirit. It's an animal, maybe a family pet but I'm not sure if it's a spirit guide or animal guide, as it's been behaving like something trying to grab your attention and startling you awake. I don't think it meant to scare you. It's a very nice and interesting story OP. Anyway welcome to the forum.

You should really consider consulting a doctor or psychologist to rule out the possibility of psychological issues. Visual and auditory hallucinations are very rare, and usually very serious. If you're having them, I urge you to seek professional consultation.

How old are you, at the moment? How thin are your walls? Do you live in a windy city? Tapping can be caused by an awful lot of things, and our minds are pretty good at imposing order where there is none.

Thanks for the advice guys, and as for some of your questions, here are the answers-

* I am 18 turning 19 this month

* I do not have thin walls in my room, and I don't live in a windy city.

* This all started 3-4 years ago, when I moved into, the house I am about to be getting out of

* As toward medication, I only take some allergy meds

* The fire hallucinations happened two years ago, only for a week and have not happened since (felt like I should mention that)

* I have told my parents (who have had paranormal experiences themselves) multiple times over the years, and all they say is "There could be something, but don't worry about it"

* I do not own an ouja board, otherwise I most likely would have attempted to get contact with it

* As for the past of the room, the former tenants DID keep dogs there, so what Redmoon said could be true

* I should've described the tapping as, "poking me repeatedly while I am in bed" because that is what actually happened, and is still happening (although now its more touching my neck when I least expect it or playing with my hair, still only when I'm trying to sleep)

And as for what Stubbly_Dooright said, coincidence- I am an artist, specifically a graphic novelist and I have been trying to finish writing a seven book graphic novel series for 3 years, and once these strange things started up again was just when I finally managed to get somewhere in writing it. I tend to not finish most of my stories either oddly enough.

And I will admit, I am skeptical too about it kicking me off the internet, I just felt like putting it in since it seemed odd and coincidental.

Thanks for the follow up, the only thing I would suggest is monitor it over another three months, if anything flares up severely please do report back here. Stranger things do happen occasionally and many houses are leaden with lingering energy though it is not ''active'' the vast majority of the time in my opinion. The mind also does become overactive when overloaded or stressed too hard, there is a fine line.

I totally agree here.

Why not visit a local priest discuss your concerns and ask to have your house blessed.

A guy I worked with (ex army) told me of odd developments in his house. Things began going missing and then turning up later in obvious places. Clothing was found torn and the TV and radio began playing up. He thought it was the wife and she blamed him. They only realized something was in the house after they both went out for a meal and came back to find lights on, radio playing loud and similar things plus the security alarms where still set - so no-one had gained entry.

His wife contacted a priest who came and blessed each room.

What ever was present stopped soon after that.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was experiencing paranormal phenomenon. Thought my house was haunted.I contacted the catholic church, a priest came to bless the house but he told me before he started to pack a bag, grab my soon and leave this house. Four years later after my life and family was completely destroyed I contacted the american association of excorcists.

I was told that the bible clearly states that dwellings are not haunted - PEOPLE ARE. They aren't ghosts they are demons that have attached themselves to you by the sins you have committed in your life. Now, I am a really good person but I have done some ungodly things in my life, a lot of of ignorance of God's laws. Every sin committed opens the door wider and the sin invites them in. After a while they can control circumstances in your life. They can make sure nothings good comes to you. If you are a bitter, angry, resentful, jealous, hateful person, depressed etc. they multiply rapidly. The note activity you experience the more demons you have attracted to yourself. The AAE has an investigator interview you about your life from your earliest memories to present. I even found out that my ex's bisexual home wrecking whore, Phyllis Stephens, even committed a cursing ritual at my front door. Which killed my cat and wrecked my health after that.

I have learned a great deal from them. For the first time my life makes sense. I am planning to be cleared or exorcized soon.Following your horoscope, premarital sex, masterbation, trying to communicate or talk to dead relatives, passing judgement of others, adultery, drug use, mental instability, anger & strife, cheating, lying, stealing, drinking to numb problems are all sins. Have you had an abortion - you committed murder. Unlike my perception of sinful consequences, turns out we pay the price during our lives.

Wow this is a very spooky story. But yes I also say put a Camera in there and record anything you can.

There is this guy who will give one million to anyone who can prove paranormal things and ghosts exist.

Funny you mention going back. My ex-wife and i moved into a home when we were first married. we saw and heard things several times while we both were present. 20+ yrs later i began watching, waiting for it to be empty or for rent. i really wanted to see if anything was present in the old place. The last time i checked it was empty all right, so was the whole lot. Graded and planted in grass. I walked around a bit but felt nothing odd. I was kinda hoping for a tinge of a feeling it was still there.
