You no doubt know that science can produce cancer in almost any animal, including man, through nothing more profound than diet. But does it occur to you that the same science can and does produce a diet that will produce the exact opposite effect? Anyone in the branch can produce animals in prime physical health. And being an ape you are one of these animals, and your dog fits the lab animal profile as well (if you are crazy enough to have one or live where fun for it does not have to be carefully budgeted).

I can make you or a dog a food that will guarantee health, a structurally excellent skeleton (except where wear is already present), and a profound immune system (with the addition of healthy exercise and pranayama, say nine or more hours a week of specific activity while watching your tv-shows or whatever).

And having made this food, I can make it again in another iteration and another; endless iterations, so that I could fill a supermarket with mouthwatering choices.

Say this happened. Then you would still go to the store, fill your shopping bags, pay the toll. The most significant change would be that you would stop going to the doctor, the hospital, and the pharmacy.

My son the doctor: Do No Harm But Be Cruel Enough to Make Your Mother Very Rich!

If you are interested in the doggie-version, buy kasha, which is roasted buckwheat. You don’t have to cook kasha, which is why it’s specified. (In a pinch basic rye bread or sourdough bread made of whole or broken rye and nothing else will serve.) You only have to soak the kasha over night.

If the dog refuses water-soaked kasha you might have to boil water to make a bullion to soak it in, but how many times a day do you boil water anyway? Add a small portion of raw, usually thawed and cheap fish, making sure you are spending less than you would be doing with dogfood. Whatver dark green stuff you throw away when you prepare veggies is usually the best part nutrionally, and even dried and wilted it is excellent food, so a bit of that goes in but again, not much.

Adjust the liquid to kasha proportions until your particular dog is making feces you can pick up with your bare fingers and keep in the pocket of a white dress shirt. These are innocuous feces, but you pick them up because it looks bad to leave them in the eyes of the people who have not tested them.

Dogs need immunity where there are a lot of them using the same space. Some diseases can be transmitted from the dog to the human, and you don’t need a dog for that; you just need to walk where they have been and then touch your soles. This is microbiology, so smell has nothing to do with it, except to a dog’s nose.

No dog race innately needs its tail clipped, but diet makes it so.

And what caused the cancer when everyone ate 100% local grown, organic, paleo, clean water, clean air, no chemicals, etc. etc?

Whole grains of low starch content cooked whole should be the predominant factor. Faster carbohydrates, including finely ground whole grains, should be considered in the "sugar class" and avoided. This is macrobiotics, which has Japanese leanings (who would Think people choose seaweed and tough fungi?), and it can be adapted to local tastes. There is also "bone-density diet" studies as a Google or bookstore search-Word.

There is still too much Convention in the menu; it all reminds us of restaurant food, when it ought to become completely new finished Products and a consumer craze. You should not have to Cook but be like a kid; just open and eat, or at worst open, heat and eat.

If you have information showing The Paleo were susceptible to modern diseases I'm sure we'd like to Review it. One of the problems that has haunted man since he became clever, overruling his instint with the authority of progress, is addiction, however. Instinct kept the mind sweet, and progress makes it mean, which is only useful a thgird of the time.

Do you ever forget to take the feces out before washing your clothes?

Cancer has always been with us - even the dinosaurs had it.

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v483/n7387_supp/full/483S2a.html

Cancer has been around since before the first humans walked the Earth. Fossilized dinosaur bones show evidence of tumours, and archaeologists have discovered a 2,700-year-old human skeleton with evidence of prostate cancer that had spread through its bones. The Greek physician Hippocrates named the disease after the Greek word for 'crab', perhaps because the tumour and its branching network of blood vessels reminded him of the multilegged creature. But was cancer common in ancient times, or is it largely a product of our modern industrial age? Can the latest biology and high-tech genomics research help us devise treatments that target each cancer's vulnerabilities or, better yet, can they prevent the disease?

Cancer and disease are predators, like homelessness and the draft filling the vacancies in the front lines. A dinosaur diet is what it can get; it is not what it's better judgement is telling it when it has the luxury or sitting back and surfing for it. Most dogs still behave as if every Crumb is their last meal for some time to come.

You can make an elephant healthier by supplementing its diet with both fresh and decaying deciduous "fire wood" in any quantities it cares to consume. That is prevention, which it would not be in some digestive systems; and people by the hundreds have eaten Wood for months at a time.

I doubt that we could learn what nature's healthfood ever was from how it was competed for.
