Still Waters Posted May 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2012 These remarkable 19th century sepia-tinted pictures show the American West as you have never seen it before - as it was charted for the first time. The photos, by Timothy O'Sullivan, are the first ever taken of the rocky and barren landscape. At the time federal government officials were travelling across Arizona, Nevada, Utah and the rest of the west as they sought to uncover the land's untapped natural resources. http://www.dailymail...tered-time.html
ColoradoParanormal Posted May 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Thank you for this post stills! I LOVE photographs of places, people and really anything in history! I own a few books that are nothing but pictures from Colorado and North Dakota's start as territories all the way to the mid 1950's. Really COOL! Thanks!
