It's a NASA initiative to find habitable planets. http://kepler.nasa.gov/ The guy is using the same name for his story to try to "add legitimacy".. I love when people make claims that the "government is trying to shut them down" (their home, job, evidence, etc..) yet have a public web site where they pour their heart out. I googled the Kepler gateway to see where he came up with the name. I guess he really has some knowledge of physics, and a knowledge of storytelling enough to weave an engaging tale. Well done I say! I love science fiction. Was this a spin on the John Carter theme crossed with CS Lewis "wardrobe" tech? What creatures will be found on Kepler?
