Fable Posted March 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2005 Alien Corpse Auction Thats right! While being a bit bored and browsing around, I happened upon this nice little auction. Let me quote some of the story. "A few days later I was walking around the wilderness near my home and came upon what appears to be a 3 foot long humanoid corpse ! I scoured the nearby grounds but could find no evidance of a craft or other debris . I hestitated about taking it home with me ...could it be radio active ? could it have deadly alien pathogens ? After putting on rubber gloves I felt safer , so I took it home with me . There seems to be no animal or insect damage . Could this corpse be of alien origin ? Definitly not human . No sex organs visible ." All right, I suppose that is a nice little story this user has going on here. I always go a little more indepth when it comes to auctions such as this, and then I happened to come across this next link as well. The user's own website! You know, it's one thing to try and make out a story to sound true. It's an entirely different thing to put something up and then have a link in your user info to completely make a living fraud out of you. I mean, it's common sense to know what makes a mummy like that, and from what he said it wasn't in the proper conditons. In the conditions he described, the flesh would have rotted away and the bones half gone from calcium hungry rodents. Of course the arguments are quite obvious: It's an alien, it doesn't decompose like earth organisms. And for the same reasons animals won't touch it. An organic body is an organic body, friends. Don't forget where we got our own biological makeup. In fact, to put it poetically, 'we are made of star dust.' We humans came from the same premordial soup as I believe many others have. I'm not saying it is impossible for a creature to be of a far different biological makeup, but if they were that different, our whole world would be completely toxic to them... so where was this creature's protection? Surly any setient animal would have done something in the way of precaution before coming anywhere near such a toxic place. And more so, wouldn't it save a lot of trouble just to send a mechanical probe? We don't inted to send humans to any of our nearby intoxicated plantes. But we have sent probes by the dozen! And when we do go places unable to support us, we wear tons of protection. If these aliens left a body, wouldn't they have left debree? Wouldn't the body be burnt or damaged in some way from impact? But if any compliment must be paid to this liar, it is: Wonderful work of art, friend, realistic enough no doubt. So decoration is the only option...since the seller specifies there are NO sex organs, which means it cannot be used for "entertainment" purposes.
