Careless members of the British public have broken their mobile phones by baking them in a cake, inserting them into a cow and dropping them over the edge of a ship while recreating scenes from Titanic, it has emerged.

They sell very inexpensive 'massagers' at the pharmacy/chemists.

I've lost a couple of phones myself. One time I had it in my jacket pocket, jacket was kind of long on me, went to get in the car, my jacket pocket was in between the car door and the frame of the car, when I shut it, CRUNCH! There went my phone. Another time while in the Bahamas, forgot that it was in my pocket, went swimming in the ocean with it. Lastly, my old phone fell out of my shirt pocket into the partially full bath while I was cleaning it. Pockets and phones don't mix too well for me apparently. <_<

Were the aforementioned claims upheld ? If not , then why pay insurance ?

Yes, all 3 of mine were, insurance saved my *** each time. Still cost $50 to replace the smart phones, but it was money well spent in the long run. Although, after I started using an OtterBox, my phone has lasted a long time.

I had a similar traumatic experience many years ago after a DVD snafu involving the Shining and Spice Girls the movie. I had nightmares for weeks involving Scary Spice.

some of these i wouldn't even admit!

this one doesn't surprise me in the least though:

More than 60 different mobile phone owners claimed to have broken their handset while walking along texting and crashing into something.
