Hey guys something weird keeps happening to me, sometimes when I'm leaning on my phone on my bed or when I'm on my computer and it touches my leg i feel like a shock or electricity or something. It isn't like an actual shock but it just starts to sting until i move it. Any ideas?

FYI its usually when my phone or computer are charging but I don't get shocked because I'm near the plug or anything its just from a corner of my computer or phone are touching me.

Also its only when it touches my body never my hands. I just felt it on my nipple area when my phone was touching it again.

It sounds like your getting little zaps of static electricity to me - which has usually got something to do with humidity I think.

Maybe stop leaning on your phone - and keep your computer away from your legs.

Or go and have the items checked out.

May I ask what material your clothes are? Alot of materials can build up static electricity, both your phone and computer are designed to take electrical and signal interference. If both appliances are on charge then they are kore than likely taking excess static and its earthing out.

Was your phone on charge when you rubbed it on your nipple? Was you clothed? Perhaps your building up a static charge through your carpets or flooring.

As for not feeling it through your hands, depending on your age and what kind of working life you have had, the skin and nerves on your hands will be a lot tougher so you may simply be not registering it.

I remember as a child running a bath and to test with my hands it was fine, but stick my foot in and it would burn.
