AROCES Posted September 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) BALTIMORE -- Community activist group ACORN is suing the makers of a hidden-camera video that showed employees of its Baltimore office giving tax advice to a man posing as a pimp and a woman posing as a prostitute. The liberal group contends that the audio portion of the video was obtained illegally because Maryland requires two-party consent to create sound recordings. The two employees seen in the video were fired after it was posted online. The lawsuit says the employees, Tonja Thompson and Shera Williams, suffered "extreme emotional distress." The multimillion-dollar lawsuit seeks damages from James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, who played the pimp and prostitute in the videos, and from conservative columnist Andrew Breitbart, who posted the videos on his Web site. © 2009 Associated Press. seax Posted September 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black isn't it? Do you think that anyone thought ACORN would give up this information without someone catching them with their hands in the cookie jar. The Feds sure didn't seem very interested in audits or any investigations theirself. I feel 'extreme emotional distress' every time I hear about us getting fleeced. Two party consent? Well...you had the pimp and the prostitute. That's 2.. Really...I don't thing the suit will get too far. The end justified the means. seax
Kimi81 Posted September 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2009 This won't get far before it's thrown out . Instead of ACORN being mad at these people they need to take personal responsibilty and be glad they are rid of the corrupt people that were exposed because of this happening. They need to be investigated so the corupt people within the orginization can be smoked out and they can return to doing the great things they do for the urban community and get Fox and the Repubs off of they're backs. seax Posted September 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Lockheed Martin might be tempted to sue these filmmakers, too... Hello Startraveler...if I were Lockheed Martin..I would be getting my books in order. Maybe George Soros's tentacles stretch to Lockheed...who knows...'shop talk' goes a long way in politics. best regards, seax
preacherman76 Posted September 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Shouldnt those employee's be in a jail cell right now? Or at least out on bail?
Tiggs Posted September 24, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Shouldnt those employee's be in a jail cell right now? Or at least out on bail? As the two employee's had reported the Pimp to the police before realising that it was a sting operation - probably not so much.

AROCES Posted September 24, 2009 Author #13 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Can you counter sue someone for being a greedy moron? It's called a spin, you accuse the accuser of wrong doing and turn the focus on them. Make yourself the victim instead, the thing is since there is politics here somein the media and lefty will now see those who expose ACORN as the wrong doers. And then same people wonder and complain about corruption in the govt.

Right, right, it's just a "few corrupt people", but ALL Republicans are evil... Again, you're so fooled it's sad. I feel sorry for you, because you will NEVER be more, or think other, than they will allow, and it makes YOU feel good about yourself.
