LET THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS IN.....

BTW, Soul?  If you live in Damascus and hear that scuds have been fired at Israel I'd get into a bunker or a basement as fast as you can.  You may be a shill for the government but maybe you're just misguided....

only 3 news channels are not allowed into syria and they are: Al jazeerah, Al Arabiah, France24
more than 154 media (world wide) has been allowed in, beside the Arab observers, who wrote a report about Syria which has been ignored

Not sure about the BBC, though I've heard they are like Canada's CBC(many here do not trust the CBC... it's government propaganda national news station)I don't trust CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX, etc... at all anymore.  Especially during the current GOP primaries.  Most who have been following along will agree.  They do not report the facts.  They have only been giving opinion.

So why would we trust what they have to say in another countries affairs when they do not report the true facts at home?

They have lost their credibility.... not sure why some here would trust them now.

I'm curious about you Soul.  I mean no offense but I wonder?  Are you Alawite?  Because you seem very loyal to the government there and the stories the world are seeing show your government to be one of the most brutal in modern history.  Not so much in numbers of dead but in WHO is being killed without mercy.  And raped. And tortured.  When CNN and BBC and CBS,NBC,ABC,FOX all cannot put reporters on the ground then no one in the international arena believes what the Syrian government says.  I'm not trying to be personally offensive to you.  I just don't understand why you defend such horriffic acts.

So who IS allowed in? "Assad Payroll News?" i understand that major news outlets tend to have their own slant, but the more info you have pumped out regardless of source the greater the likelihood you can actually find out what is going on. And right now it appears that only those who are for Assad are being let in. I understand that there are a lot of different factions that are making up the rebellion; but at the core their are some serious issues that need to be addressed; and Assad has chosen near Fascism as opposed to actually addressing the legitimate concerns.

Whatever.  The MSM has an agenda and cannot be trusted to report the truth.  In another thread you accuse RT of not being a trustworthy news site when reporting on the lone marine murderer who burnt 16 afghanis last this past week because they are a foreign news corporation.  Yet here you change your mind and say that foreign media should be allowed to report what is happening in this Syrian conflict when it's become very obvious that Assad does have a lot of support.  Just watch the youtube videos of the rallies all across Syria on the 15th.

And also stop the personal attacks and threatening Unexpected-Soul.  It's against forum rules.  You know what I mean... telling him that Israel will be bombing him and to run to his shelter for his opinion.

He is not threatening him, the admins would be on it now. Assad has not got much support, only Facist groups from Europe and Latin American leaders. Also stop supporting tyrants.

I believe that rather than a personal attack And-then is simply expressing a very literal reading of Isaiah 17:1. Which talks of Damascus being destroyed in the last days. Of course if you follow the literal reading the earth is at said time also being wtfpwnd by 2 KT Event sized asteroid strikes ( one in the ocean, one on land)among other such woes O' doom. So our foreign policy on this issue would in that case be a fairly moot point.

hahaha... I ain't supporting Assad... it isn't my country nor should I be taking any sides in another sovereign nations affairs.  I simply pointed out that recent videos prove that hundreds of thousands, if not millions were at his rallies on the 15th across Syria... this cannot be disputed.  Youtube is great for showing the crowds at events like these.  The numbers do not lie and actually shed light on what is happening on the ground.

But none of them look happy, in Libya pro Gaddafi supporters looked happy and chanting when the uprising was going on, However on this one they don't look happy.

They look happy to me in all the videos I've seen.  What gave away their happiness I suppose was the fist pumps, the endless flags and the smiles on their faces.

I said I did not trust RT because I find them to be biased against America - kind of like YOU.  If a mod feels I need to tamp down my comments I certainly will do so.  I don't need YOU to tell me anything.  Quite the piece of work aren't you?  You see I realize my opinions are just that - opinions.  They harm no one.  I doubt seriously that they even influence anyone.  YOU however seem perpetually annoyed by them.  That is a mystery to me.  MY comments on the whole and all things considered have been very measured where Soul is concerned.  Perhaps you should coordinate with him to get the best message out for Assad's bloody regime.  Whatever you feel you need to do.   :P :tu:
