The UK version of post #15 (above)

"Let us praise God. Oh Lord, oooh you are so big. So absolutely huge. Gosh, we’re all really impressed down here I can tell you. Forgive us, O Lord, for this dreadful toadying and barefaced flattery. But you are so strong and, well, just so super. Fantastic. Amen."

I do not like your Christians.
They are so unlike your Christ.

I'm an Atheist but I like:

And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.

Geology shows that fossils are of different ages. Paleontology shows a fossil sequence, the list of species represented changes through time. Taxonomy shows biological relationships among species. Evolution is the explanation that threads it all together. Creationism is the practice of squeezing one's eyes shut and wailing "Does not!" ~Author Unknown

Internally, yes....but externally all that could be seen was a camo-clad butt poking out of the foliage whilst the other end was buried in the leaf-litter, whimpering!

Edited because Nanny wouldn't let me say ****!

"I am in thy hands, do as thy will, and I will be content." or similar.

And, "Angels watching over me, every step i take. Angels watching over me, every move i make." Sung out loud to myself :innocent:
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world..

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

''Our father'' covers everything

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

Us Protestants call that, 'The Lord's Prayer'.  Has always struck me as silly that we have different names for the same prayers.

Hi,

I think they both are valid.
I come from a country where most people are lutherians and Our father is more commonly used.
Could it be because back in the days there where different bible translations.

Hiya! :)

Am thinking it's probably more because I come from a country where catholics and protestants have traditionally hated one another so don't want to use the same names for the same things while they practice the same religion and pray through the same Jesus to the same God.

I always thought that lutherans are like protestants who don't go church very often. :innocent:

My daily prayer is "Thank you, God. Thank you, Rudi. Thank you, Nityananda. Thank you, 'Flow' (or Holy Spirit)."
