A 16-year-old in Germany made off with hundreds of euros after he held up a bank using a toy gun, but was quickly apprehended when he fled by bicycle, police said Saturday.

LOL, I agree. But doesn't it come down to the kid? You can't be with them all the time, even if you raise them right...etc.

It's still pretty harsh to say a boy with a toy gun would be asking to die. He was asking for money.

Im not even annoyed with the kid. If hed have planned his escape route better I'd be sending in my resume to work for him

That's not harsh on my part, that's just how it is here in the states. Police brutality is pretty common here.

I've seen my fair share. I avoid the police like the plague.

Have you seen some of the 'Airsoft' toy guns they sell these days? They certainly do not look like toys.

I know a young man that robbed a bank a few years ago with a pellet gun. He used to be a decent kid and had a great life. He had a great job, had a nice truck, motorcycle, snowmobile... lots of really nice stuff. He came from a really good family too. He was doing great for himself and then he became involved with the wrong crowd and got into heroin. After about a year he lost everything but still had to keep his addiction financed.

Sadly, that's when he robbed the bank. He did get caught the day after he robbed it.

It is so sad when you know deep down inside that someone is a truly great person but they are just controlled by an addiction.
