Man finds whole potato in packet of crisps

Still Waters

A customer of discount supermarket chain Aldi had quite the surprise when he opened a packet of crisps.

Richard Bootman, 25, ripped open a packet of Snackrite steak and onion crisps only to find a whole potato - and nothing else - inside.

if that gave him 'the shock of his life', then I pity the man and his severely sheltered upbringing.....

Probably the only bag of potato crisps ever, to have a real potato in it.

Would have been funnier if it was a baked potato.

Given the name of the product on the bad, they should have added a bit of steak and an onion.

What do you do with the potato? It doesn't have any real resale value. You can either eat it, plant it, or auction it off, but that's about it. Actually, if you plant it, you can probably get whatever propietary cultivar Snackrite uses. Unless it's not propietary.

We just had an ALDI food store open in this area and I've been wary of shopping there. All the advert's boast the LOW LOW prices...like WAY below any other grocery chain around here. I've always wondered how they could price their items so low. I guess this is why :w00t: Too funny. Thanks for that Still Waters!!

I also know a good one:

Why was he inspecting his stool anyway?

He must have had a hunch about the kernels!

I bought a bunch of bananas at Aldi once, got home, and found out they were all empty

I cant really believe the story. I mean a bag of crisps, half filled with air, and a potato in a bag, feel so totally different
