What appears to strike home for me is that this season is unusually quiet. Celumnaz Posted June 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2006 Seems same as usual to me. They come and go, and when they come they're usually a supprise. The worst is always the one you experience. It does seem to me the seasons have shifted, but I'm wondering now if that's not abnormal too. Unless there's a major geological shift, pretty sure the pendulum will swing and nature will balance against extreme and find its relatively normal place. Cycles cycles cycles, there's nothing new. This storm was located 20 miles north of Greenville... or about 15 miles northwest of Stanton... and moving south at 20 mph. * The severe thunderstorm will be near... amble around 335 PM EDT Coral around 345 PM EDT Langston around 350 PM EDT Turk Lake around 355 PM EDT Greenville around 400 PM EDT Hail to the size of a nickel is expected from this storm. skratch Posted June 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I'm glad I live in Canada... Man.. Tornados scare the begeezes out of me.. There was 1 tornado at my cottage once, it only knocked down a few trees and a power line.. The storm with it was bad though. There was some at my work, but they didn't touch ground so I suppose they weren't tornados - but that storm was the craziest I've ever seen... It broke my window, and all the horses were freaking out... The guys that were coming to pick me up said they saw funnel clouds and the sky was purple. We don't get that often... Maybe once every few years. Does anyone live where big tornado's are the norm? I'd be scared to death... I cried when it broke my window because I was by myself and couldn't get ahold of anyone.
