Recommended Posts

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS ROUND.

I will now post the groups/acts that have been nominated (for both categories) and voting will begin tomorrow morning...

Category One:

Buddy Holly (1955)

Pink Floyd (1965)

The Kinks (1964)

The Ramones (1974)

Category Two:

Foo Fighters (1994)

Category One requires a simple majority. Category Two would require at least 30% of the vote (not voting for Category Two counts as an official Abstain)

Foo Fighters just played 2 acoustic songs at the Democratic Convention! Very surprising. Never thought I would see them play on C-SPAN (government access TV Channel). I'm sure it cost them a few fans but they gotta do what they think is right.

I dont think anyone ever expected to see Ozzie doing commercials, Gene Simmons have a TV show (minus the makeup), or Keith Richards survive to the 21st century. Stick around long enough and nothing is impossible

My next nomination is for CCR.

They had influence over the music scene. They had a bunch of commercial hits. They stayed true to their style. They had members who went on to fantastic solo careers.
