Have you read any of the bible.....other than Daniel and Revelation?

I've already showed you where it says that no one knows the hour, so it's obvious you haven't read Matthew.

Dr. Phil says that marriage is hard work.

I say....if marriage is hard work, you're doing it wrong.  Love is not work.  Love is eternal.

Did you read my response?  Even if you take it at face value, and completely true, it was said a long, long time ago.  The Jews were told not to eat pork by the same deity, because it was unclean.. does that still hold true today?

What's the purpose of Daniel 12 and all of Revelation?  How about Joel, Isaiah, Jeremiah? (Yes, I've read the whole thing.)

Well, I choose to believe what is said.  And I believe that you're gonna have to answer to Him eventually for exalting yourself over Jesus Christ by claiming you have information that nobody else has except the father Himself.

I pray for you.

And the pupose of prophecy in the bible, such as those made in Daniel in Revelation, are not to get you to calculate exactly when the end is coming.  They are there to teach you the warning signs.

They're guidelines, just like the rest of the bible.

Oh, one more thing.  You might not want to use Jesse Ventura as a reference.

This is a guy who tried (and unfortunately succeeded) in selling a book about how to survive 2012.  He said that the global economy would collapse and money would be worth nothing....and that he had the definitive guide for your survival when it happened.

I asked him in July of last year, point blank, at a Q & A session the following:

"Mr. Ventura, if money is going to be worthless, why are you charging $49.95 for your book?"

He chose to ignore me and not answer.

Dr. Phil says that marriage is hard work.

Aside from appearing in Revelation, the "thief in the night" reference has nothing to do with the day and the hour.  Revelation and Daniel both talk about an unsealing, what do you all think that is in reference to?

Daniel 12 and Revelation 5

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father.
37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Read the bold print.

What else do you need to read?  Are you still denying that passage exists in the bible?

I stand corrected, my recollection was that the thief in the night phrase was in the 7 churches chapter, around Re 2.

edit: it is, actually, also Re 3:3.  Can't memorize the whole thing :)

And just FYI, you might consider this a technicality, but I thrive on them...

The dichotomy between verse 36 and 44 definitely imply that some people might expect the right day :)

I have no doubt the information didn't come from you.  I do have a pretty good idea who you're getting it from, however.

Make sure you remind him that while he's relaying information to you about Revelations....to take a long look at who wins.
