Still Waters Posted April 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2015 The first human Sat Nav which guides walkers using electrodes strapped to their legs has been developed by German scientists. Max Pfeiffer, at the University of Hannover, believes the invention will allow tourists to navigate unfamiliar cities without taking their eyes off the sights, because they no longer need to follow directions. http://www.telegraph...eg-muscles.html
Zalmoxis Posted April 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2015 That is intriguing. Watching the video in the link, I could see how fun this could be for people who want to make remote-control cars out of others. They see it good for tourists, I see this invention probably more suited for people recovering from limb transplants, using this technology to fire up the nerves in the limbs and re-program the limbs to work correctly once transplanted. I don't know. Electrodes that in essence take control off the brain and into the hands with a remote-control is sorta scary.
