It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that since Osama bin Laden sent a message in 2010, he had not been dead for years as you have falsely, wrongly, incorrectly, and mistakenly claimed. And, may I remind you that al-Qaeda has confirmed the death of bin Laden in 2011 at the hands of American forces.

We were told at the time that he was buried at sea to honor Muslim traditions.  Are there any Islamic scholars out there who can explain to me how a nomadic, desert dwelling people developed a tradition of being buried at sea?  Then can you explain why we chose to honor bin Laden in such a fashion while we didn't mind blowing the others to bits right where they sat?  And if it now turns out that he wasn't buried at sea then why the ruse?  None of this makes sense unless all of it makes sense.

They did not. Except for the barbary pirates, who indeed were jugded by the caliph to be favoured by allah when dying at sea. But OBL was hardly a Barbary pirate.

They do not, Sky.  And some fraudulent White House story does not make it so.  Even a Hollywood movie does not make it so.

That subplot of the story was created ONLY so they would not have to produce a body.  Because there was no body of OBL at Abbottabad, because he had already been dead for years.

But the story sure was convenient to take the heat of Obama's birth certificate controversy, and the fact that well-heeled Democrat contributors had just revolted at an Obama fund raiser in San Francisco.

Change the story, make a movie about it, and VOILA, the gullible eat it up, hook, line & sinker.
