Mega zombie Posted November 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2012 On 5-19-12 at approx 11:45 pm I got the fright of my life. I went to see Megadeth and Rob Zombie in concert at Grand Rapids Mi. We were camping afterwards at PJ Hoffmaster state park that night as it was near the venue..I am from Detroit area. My son and I were taking a walk in the dark along the shores of Lake Michigan when suddenly a super bright light shined upon us (about 30 foot in diameter). It lasted about a second. We had NO flashlights...so it saw us infra-red. We looked up and directly above us was a huge black triangle with a white light in each corner. It was like a Dorito shape...about 100 to 200 feet in the air. It was COMPLETELY SILENT and moving VERY SLOWLY. About 50 ft. wide and about 70 ft long. It was moving from Lake Michigan going slightly SE over our heads and traveled over the beach and sand dunes...and after about 30-40 seconds it disappeared over the tree line. We got a fantastic look at it up close. It had right and left white rectangular strobing taillights that would alternate from one side to the other...kinda like what you would see on the back of a garbage truck. It was so close I could see the many squares within the rectangles. At first I thought is was a drone...because earlier that day we heard Rush Limbaugh talking about drones flying over Chicago to monitor the Occupiers. But the next day at home I saw pictures of those drones...they looked like an unmanned spy plane.....NOT AT ALL WHAT I SAW. I am convinced what I saw must be our military....at least I hope so. Either way this made a Steath Bomber look like the Wright Brothers first flight. I am telling you that what you see on youtube from other sightings is 100 percent real! I researched this and believe what I saw was the TR-3b Astra. It was incredible. Nonetheless it scared me because it defied logic. Here's the deal. Everyone wants to see a UFO....but when you really do. You'll wish you hadn't because fantasy becomes reality...and reality...well you figure it out for yourself. I think it might be a flesh and blood cryptid though. Can you draw a picture of what you saw, especially the bit; "It had right and left white rectangular strobing taillights that would alternate from one side to the other...kinda like what you would see on the back of a garbage truck. It was so close I could see the many squares within the rectangles."P.S. Keeping an open mind, do you think that it *might* be a rib-extension flying lizard type cryptid? The Flying Reptiles of Tropical Asia: Evolution Takes a Leap. Three could fly in formation perhaps. Which youtube footage do you believe in? NatureBoff Posted December 3, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) Those reptiles glide, not fly Here's a white light UFO with a tail moving side-to-side. Maybe the gliding lizard evolved a snake-like propulsion tail?! These two had one *land* in front of them! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1BYd1i7eEo Edited December 3, 2012 by SunnyBlues
Oppono Astos Posted December 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2012 Not sure why we have duplicate threads open by the OP? We certainly do not need another thread for Smugfish to derail with his off-topic posts.
NatureBoff Posted December 4, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Not sure why we have duplicate threads open by the OP? We certainly do not need another thread for Smugfish to derail with his off-topic posts. The OP is hinting that the ufo might be a flesh and blood flying cryptid, which is why he posted in this section as well imo. He said that "I am convinced what I saw must be our military....at least I hope so", which suggests that he finds it difficult to believe in this possibility, just like I did.Edit: Here's another possible sighting in daylight Stories from those in uniform 2. I was flying an exercise out in the desert in the early 90's in the mountains. We were doing a west to east 4 plane fighter sweep in front of the package and I was wingman (backseater to a nugget pilot) in the northenmost position. We were probably at 5k' AGL above a ridge line with the rest of the flight spread out to the south and down in the valley. I looked to my left ,as we were well within indian country and hadn't picked up any targets (a bad thing) and caught site of this big silver aircraft flying at what looked like just tens of feet off the deck (shadow was directly under the thing) with two pointy noses flying off the wingtips but at a higher altitude. I almost called the flight over to attack that target but realized they were in a different restricted area and definitley not part of our exercise. Probably 6 miles north of us and right in the deck. I called my pilot's eyes over but he couldn't see them and then the whole flight dropped over a ridgeline and out of sight. The whole flight was moving at the speed of heat and the big boogie was right in the deck, i mean huggng the rocks. It was strange because it was bright silver and had no tail fins and no real fuselage. Not many silver aircraft in the military. I think the escorts were F-111's and years later I am thinking the big guy was an unpainted B-2 but I have no idea if those things are silver underneath that paint or if they fly that low. No smoke from any of them but that is normal with modern engines. Anyways, once again I am the only one who saw them and remember it because of their speed and altitude, the silver coloring and stange configuration. Radar saw nothing and these wee military grade search radars with trained techs but that isn't unusual in the mountains. Mega zombie Posted December 26, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted December 26, 2012 I was new to this sight when I posted. I think the webmaster moved this post to the most pertinent category for me. That and I accidentally put this in the wrong category the first time...so I copied it and moved it. That is why you see it duplicated. The better thread is in the UFO category. Sorry about that. Btw....what I saw was clearly a black triangle....with no tail.

Night Surfer Posted March 24, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Long time reader, have never posted on this forum until now. I also saw a flying triangle back in 1979 over Houlton,Maine. A small town of about 7,000 people on the Canadian border.
