The gun actually put some force field around the targeted object and you can move it, toss, hold it and smash it to the ground, and etc. Yeah I don't know of any new real weapons. Is that laser defence system (star wars lol) up and running it been talked for years last I heard it was in testing, maybe its in its final stages by now.
