Still Waters Posted April 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2014 For many of us, watching the birds that come to visit is one of the chief pleasures of gardening. But we tend to take it for granted that we see some breeds in our gardens, but not others. For example, we see plenty of finches, such as chaffinch, goldfinch and greenfinch, but we don’t see (or expect to see) any of several species of buntings, even though they’re closely related to finches.
