Little people

Okay, so I am a 19year old Denesuline/ Cree girl and crazy stuff has been hapening to me since I was 15, I kept loosing things I had just had and found them in places that I havent gone, like I took my phone to school one day and I totally freaked out because I lost it, I went home to find it sitting on the kitchen counter. Impossible because my auntie pocket diald me so my phone rang in the middle of class so its like waaat?

Anyway there was another time I lost my hat at my friends house, looked everywhere, everyone in the house saw me go there with it, in the end I just said

"If you do find it just bring it to my housen whenever your in town"

I went home its a 2 1/2 hour drive, the odd thing is when I got home my hat was sitting on my bed.

After telling my boyfriends friend about these events he said it sounds like the work of a little man? I dont know I've only ever heard of them once, from kids from my reserve

Heres another story, over the summer I came to my boyfriends home town... A fly in community...Sometimes the road isnokay but its a 11 hour drive south to a place called La Ronge, anyway I played games and listened to music on the flight here and left it in a drawer when we arrived it was pointless cause theirs no cell service up here, august then rolled around and we were going south to Saskatoon... I searched everywhere for my phone only to then decide whatever theres no money on anyway 5am came and we left by truck when we arrived to out destination my parents were waiting to meet up with us, I got out of the truck to greet them I hugged my mother and she said "oh hey your phone is in the back seat" I instantly looked at my boyfriend and said what the hell? I lost that in (boyfriends home town) so of course I ran to my dads truck to take a peek sure enough it was MY PHONE!?

Lets not forget about the Bears, for as long as I can remember ive dreamnt about bears in pictures, walking in a distance, harming me or people I love or just cuddling up to me.

I think you are forgetful, maybe you rush around too much or too busy to notice wher you put things.

Welcome to UM :st Please, take time and read the site rules. Check out some threads, and enjoy your time here!

I think perhaps you are having some more mundane things going on rather than the wee folk messing with your phone. And dreaming of bears could be your totem animal, or just that you have bears on your subconscious mind.

There was a time where my seatbelt extended a foor away from my waste my step niece saw that happen, and the strap around the waste is a b**** to pull, it really freaked her out,

and I can't be that forgetful if it wasn't my parents that dropped me off at the airport they were at my home town, my brother dropped me off at the terminal in a car, my last text sent was to my brother asking him to bring subway for me.

Theres also this last time where i kicked my phone off my bed by accident, havent seen it since, even cleaned out my entire room, looked in everything that was able to open like jewlery box when I was packing up to move. It's been 8 months since.

I was told to make an offering of tobacco, just take it and leave it in the bushess and supposedly my stuff will eventually turn up.

A list of things that went missing form the most obvious places

Extra quad key

Friendship necklace

Bracelet from boyfriend

Necklace from boyfriend

Two of my phones, (cut them off)

I do and I'm tired of it, even lost my wallet at one point, found all of my id's down by a lake under a canoe in my home town, that went missing from my old bedroom >,>

And is that easy to get from stores or ??

I left a couple smokes out in the bush behind my cabin as an offering, hope it works lol i don't have any other types of tobacco on me.

Ooh and i have a small pouch of rat root I pin to my tshirts, i have a long piece my grandma gave to me but my mom forgot to give it to me before I left home

You might seriously consider seeing someone about this. It may all be in your head. That would be the best first step. It is the most likely.

The Mannegishi ("little people" of the Cree Nation) are river folk and are rather malicious. They specialize in tipping over canoes in rapids (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Mannegishi)

In searching for other connections, I have noticed that many modern "cryptid investigators" took this legend, assigned it to the wrong tribe, and at the same time decided that the Mannegishi must be responsible for other "sightings." The result is that by the year 1998 and later, "legends" of the Mannegishi are very distorted and don't resemble the REAL spirits.

I agree that it's probably absent-mindedness.

We're not allowed to use the Lenape name for them or Earth bound spirits but my wife, kids and myself call them "smoos" sometimes earth bound spirits and the little people pull the same crap. Smokes work, tobacco is tobacco no matter what the newagy white folks say. Crees are part of The People too so our culture is pretty close.

Sounds like you need to wear a crystal around your neck. I suggest green fluorite. But any bright geometrical one will do. Of course you know why so I don't need to bore you with the reasons. Anyway sounds like you've been followed by a shadow person or there is some harmless witchery going on here. Watch your back...

Well, that's not very nice.

Little troublemakers! Someone could get seriously hurt.

i'm never getting in a canoe again!

I don't want to sound rude but I don't believe a word of this stuff, forgetting where you put things & having an overly active imagination would be my guess.

Iv never heard of this before, I mean OF course Iv heard about little people, leprechauns and such of course each of these things has a legend or lore associated with them. Your guys don't sound helpful at all. But then again I guess there are bad ones to, maybe ask an elder about it that lives in your community

Yeah, I think it's just a mundane explanation and you're just grasping for paranormal explanations.

I lose things all the times. I just happen to be forgetful.

I definitely cut xVarkazas66 some slack because - in some cases, she had a witness or witnesses.

I have no idea how to explain it, based on her testimony. Perhaps she is mis-remembering, I don't know.

I just get the feeling the key may not be so simple.
