The Krimson King Posted January 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2014 When I was about 8 years old I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep I saw a silhouette was what looked like a man walk through my wall at the foot of my bed and walk out my door. The weird thing is that it's body look pixelated like the static on a tv set. I have never seen anything else paranormal in my life so far. That one incident has stayed with me. Has anyone else ever witnessed something like this or have any info on it.
Davros of Skaro Posted January 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2014 That's Static Man. Just put any "noun" in front of the word "Man", and there ya go. LOL! Just kidding welcome to the forum. The mind plays tricks in the waking, or sleeping stages, so it could have been in your head even though it looked real. If nothing else happened around there since then? Then the aforementioned is most likely.
DecoNoir Posted January 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Its possible for your brain to start "semi dreaming" when your tired but haven't fallen asleep. I happen to see spiders running about during this situation. Also the cells on your retnas were probably hving trouble adjusting to a dark room with a very bright TV screen, especially at that age, which could account for the static effect.
spacelizard667 Posted January 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Maybe your brain was playing tricks as it can sometimes, maybe sleep deprivation. If this apparition could walk in through your walls why then would it need to exit out your door; if your family didn't see it too then I suppose we might never know. Unless this coincides with a death of somebody in your family or who you were close with I would just brush it off as nothing.
The Krimson King Posted January 16, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I wasn't really falling asleep yet. I had just laid in bed and I'd say ten minutes later it happened. There were no lights or tv on in my room but the hallway light was on because my mother was in her room. I can't explain why it walked out through the door its path was just a straight line from where it entered and it disappeared as it crossed the threshold of the door frame. Donnie Darko Posted January 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I believe you. Strange things happen and we can't explain them so some of us will readily dismiss it. When I was a kid, I remember TRYING to fall asleep in the morning because everyone was still in bed and I was bored. When I shut my eyes, suddenly something began pulling my hair and growling. Now this was a distinct growl and clearly no dog or cat. I believe we had cats, but they were outside at the time. So there I was awake with my eyes shut, very tempted to open them. This wasn't like sleep paralysis where I couldn't move, it was me trying really hard TO NOT open them because I was scared at what I might see. It was pulling my hair...as if it was using my hair for it's feet. Very strange. It growled menacingly for a bit..and then I heard it run off finally. Then I opened my eyes, shaken by the whole thing. No clue what it might have been. I sensed it was small and mean is all.
xYlvax Posted January 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I wouldn't worry about the apparition, for it probably is just curious.. I've seen a shadow person once and there was no one around to make it.. It didn't scare me, but it made me curious.
Crabby Kitten Posted January 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Some very unusual ghosts appear like pixels and shapes. I once saw a ghost appear like a shaft of light. As children we see thing differently than we would have as adults. Imagine if you "recorded" exactly what you witnessed as a child, and watched it now, the image could take on a slightly different appearance. The pixel shadow you describe could've been transparent. Stubbly_Dooright Posted January 24, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Right when my daughter was young, she told me of seeing a face come out of the wall and back into it. This is when we lived in the military housing years ago. Despite taking a story of a child and just thinking various things about, (wonder if it can be debunk because a child saw this, and do not want to dismiss entirely my children's experiences) I have had experiences myself in this house. Til this day, she still remembers and talks about that experience. This experience also brings an experience I had in the house we live now. I was also already in bed, almost rested and ready to fall asleep, when my husband decided to come up to bed. The upstairs hall light was on, and I was staring at the wall opposite the door. As I hear my husband come up the stairs, I see what I thought his shadow on the wall showing him coming off the stairs and around the corner to our room. Yet, he was still on middle part of stairs, judging by the sound and that the shadow on the wall disappeared and I still heard him on the steps. Maybe it was my sleepy mind playing tricks on me, or that was something else. But the OP's experience reminded me of this and wonder if it's the same thing.
