Hi,

I just wanted to share some pictures that I clicked in April this year when I visited these places. It was surreal. I am sure you guys must have seen thousands of pics of these locations but hey, I just feel like sharing. :su

Unfortunately, when I was there, aliens dint land in stonehenge, I dint get to see the lochness monster and there were no signs of giants on the causeway. Sucks for me :passifier:

I had kinda similar disappointments.

Stonehenge was "closed", the Causeway had 3,000 schoolkids marauding over it, none of them giants and last I had a nap on the banks of Loch Ness... someone stole my sandwiches. Someone with quick feet and a Joe Bloggs hoody, so am ruling out Nessie. She has better taste in disguises and sandwiches. (was only cheese n onion)

I have to say that It was completely worth it though. For some reason, I felt very much at peace when I was there. Maybe, it was because it was a dream come true or maybe because of the atmosphere..

It's in my nature to be underwhelmed, methinks. :( Eiffel Tower? Meh. Looks like a scrap merchant's wet dream. Imo.

(apologies)

Was the cruise boat pic taken at Fort Augustus by any chance? I've posted some Loch Ness pics in the site gallery similar to yours, you might like to post yours in there too. Welcome to UM btw :)

Were you bothered much by the midges? Either/both of you. They drive me insane.

No, funnily enough there hasn't been so many this year. I've seen us get bitten to bits in the past!

I wasnt. It was raining when I was there and really cold too! I was up on the deck the whole time during the boat tour keeping an eye out for nessie.hehe. I used to read about how mysterious the water is. I have never seen water like that with almost no visibility.

You slept on the banks??? I always say I can sleep anywhere. I think thats a place I would NOT be able to sleep. I would be Nessie lunch and there'd be noone to get pics...

Same here, and that was in July! It's been a rotten summer this year. We never did get to go on one of those boats either but haven't given up on it yet. It's on my 'things to do' list :D

I was there in April. It was about a 45 minute boat ride and thats not enough time to cover even a little bit of the loch! but then again, I think it was worth it. I hope you get to cross that of your list soon :tu:

Thank you! I think they run different trips with various pick up/stop off points and some might take longer than others. Anyhow we'll see, but it'll probably be next summer now :)
