I listed Democrat/Liberal Republican/Conservative because I think only America has Democrat and Republican, in other countries they are called Liberal and Conservative I think. dontgetit.gif

Anyway, I'm Republican, I guess.

Depends on which issue really. I wouldnt vote for a party just because I have done in the past.

Bleeding Heart is spot on. I've had a very keen interest in politics since the late eighties, and in all that time, despite the way I've voted, I have never been entirely happy with any party's manifesto.

I'm centre left over health, education and caring for the less well off, but centre right over the economy, and further right over defence and law and order. At heart I'm a patriotic conservative, but I fully understand the desires of socialism to give everyone a fair deal.

I think the same is true for most of us. We have our instincts and political leanings, but how many of us are ever truly happy with what our respective parties offer us?

Ok I voted for other, because I'm not really independent, but vote as one. My ideas really fall more conservativly, but I also have ideas that are to liberal to be considered a conservative. Why can't there be something inbetween besides independents? wink2.gif Stupid political systems.

Why yes we do. I usually decide by watching debates by party members, and making decisions based on the results. In the recent past I have liked the Liberal Party. And yes, Canada has Liberals.

I`m an aussie and we have the labour and liberal parties as our two main parties. To be frank they both seem like they have no idea what they are doing. Hopefully soon we will became a proper democracy like america and leave the commonwealth but until that happens I would go for Labour only because our current government is liberal and they are doing a pretty poor job.Maybe I`ll just vote for the greens.lol. thumbsup.gif

Independant, lean twoards Democrats Conservatively. I see communism as a utopia, but human emotions would cause too much conflict with the party.

Democrat :D

I mean I like a few Republicans like John McCain... but it always seems everytime there is a Republican president they want to reduce taxes. Now, that may seem great & all but by the time they are out of office it's always up to a democrat to come save the day & get us out of debt . For exampe, right now the US economy is chugging along at a healthy 4% increase, but Bush's tax cuts & wars clearly put us in the red. Take away those tax cuts & we're almost break even. It's just too bad there are no strong democratic leaders at the moment. I'll vote for McCain though if he runs for president (depending who he runs against). Anyway, even though I'm am a democrat I have no problem voting republican & standing with them on certain issues. To me it just doesn't seem right to vote a particular party even when they have a lame canidate (like Bush) or to stand by your party even if they are making a huge mistake.

I voted Liberal in this poll. However, in their last term, I was "iffy" because of scandals that came up for the Liberals, in their last term, and my first vote as an eligible voter, I voted Conservatives, which was a plain ignorant-mistake.

And like people who don't fully understand politics and the history (like me) voted conservatives because we thought it was the next best party, because of all the big campaigns. Yep, hate to admit it but I was a sucker for them

Next elections I'm either voting for New Democrat Party (most likely) or the Green Party. It's time a new party leads the Canadian Government. Absolute Power is absolutely corrupt.

 I think I went off-topic a bit
