Liberals plot to reduce the number of seats

Labor and progressive leaders are threatening House Democrats who oppose health care legislation with potentially destructive third party challenges in November…

In districts where Democrats vote “no,” voters “will have the Republican against health and the Democrat against health care, and they’re going to ask themselves, ‘Where’s the candidate that shares my values,’” Stern told POLITICO. “A lot of us would like to run another candidate.”

“I am not the only labor leader looking at [the question of] what is the price of betrayal,” he said, suggesting that Pennsylvania and Illinois could also see liberal third party challenges…

“There is, for the first time in American history, a real chance for a third party,” said Stern, who argued that the same discontent that has inflamed a new conservative grassroots could drive a liberal outside challenge.

I approve of this. :yes::tu:

We need a third party. I think a lot of right wing people are feeling a bit lost because of the extremem right views coming out. Anyway, I think the opposite of the title of the post. We need more seats to be truely representative of the population. Statistically, what we have is not representative of the population.

Edit: Oh and I also nominate myself to lead the third party. :tu:

Sounds like we might end up having a big free-for-all heading our way. Where is that Green Party moon-bat Cynthia Mckinney ? She might actually stand a chance now.

We do have multiple partys, but almost all are seen as Fringe partys. Only the Libertarian, Green and Constitution Partys are taken seriously.

If we could get some other serious partys built, even if it is the Tea Party and Coffee Party, it would be a great benefit to our government, it would force concensus building and compromise in our Legislatures.

Two parties in power is truly /not/ enough.
