Under what circumstances would you see a talent like picking up on accents with natural ease be useful?

theres a saying in the UK... "to bury the hatchet". A hatchet is like an axe....a weapon of war...to bury it... is to lay down arms.....or more simply... end the war....let it go. My advice thus, is simple:  If any of you have brothers or sisters or any family member... just let go of the grievances. Just do it. Because one things for sure, when they are gone... you will never have that chance to make amends. and you will, like me.... suddenly put it all into perspective, when you get the news....they just died. Make that phonecall, no matter the anger, hurt, pride or shame ...and bury your hatchets.. because you really never know...when you get that call...and when its too late for any conversation again.  You'll be surprised at how much you loved someone....when you can no longer tell them. Pride is a demon...if you love them, tell them... clear your conscience. Just do it... its hard I know, for me it was bloody impossible. But the fact remains...your mind WILL change... when the preacher leads that funeral

It's very short. It doesn't last a  whole minute I think.

Nice few hours out, mostly just looking around shops. We got my sister/their mom roses, Brie cheese and crackers as a surprise, (didn't think their dad would be home so didn't think to grab him a gift) made her day.

    • and then

      and then

I was out walking tonight under a beautiful, starry sky with a very chill breeze for so late in the year.  I came upon a possum that had been struck by a vehicle, hopefully not very long before.  It was still in its quiet death throes and I felt very badly for the creature.  It may sound sappy, but I actually grieved for the poor thing.  The older I get, the more I hate needless pain and suffering.  Even when it's some varmint dying alone in a road.

As some of you know, I started dialysis in November. My kidneys mostly shut down. My doc thought Id be a good candidate for peritoneal dialysis, which is a method I can do at home by myself. Currently I go to a clinic three times a week, for four hours per session, to have the excess fluids and toxins flushed from my body. A couple of weeks ago I had a surgical procedure in my abdomen to implant a new catheter for peritoneal dialysis. The procedure went well...until somehow the catheter inside my gut later got kinked. Now I have to go in for another procedure to have it fixed. It's all quite frustrating and depressing. I'm learning more and more that family and friends are critical. They are my rock. Now all I need is a fresh, healthy kidney. Anyone have an extra sitting around?
