      ~ KYABGÖN PHAKCHOK RINPOCHE ~

I'm going to say a few things candidly...
Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, your behaviour does.
Your mind training doesn’t matter when you don’t have compassion.
Your meditation doesn’t matter when you don’t see your own faults.
Dharma practice doesn’t matter when you don’t have devotion.
Obstacles don't matter when you have the blessings.

I was just thinking about The Dukes of Hazzard, the classic 80s show featuring Bo and Luke Dook (and of course Daisy) and their comic battles with the forces of the Law in the shape of Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Yes?, you say? Well, think how many Police cars they got through in every single show. Who do you think had to pay for them? the Hazzard County taxpayer, of course! Think how much Sheriff Roscoe would have to extort in speeding fines to pay for three or four new Police cars after every episode. I just call it irresponsible I do.
