Your description is so vague that it leads me to believe that what you saw was probably a known species of bird.

I think it must be one of Satan's many representatives on earth.......Either that or a blackbird.

Well the common raven on average can get to be 69cm (27") long.. they are pretty big compared to the average 46cm of an american crow.

The raven also has upto a 130cm (51") wingspan.. which is pretty impressive.

Tele-learner,

Please forgive me if I am wrong, but from the way you type, it sounds like English is not your first language. I am assuming you live or did live in some other place than the US or UK at the time this happened, so maybe if you told us where you lived, we would be able to help you by finding out about the bird species that are known in your area.

Maybe it was a turkey vulture. The typical adult Turkey Vulture is from 66–81 cm (26–32 in) long with a 173–183 cm (68–72 in) wingspan. The body feathers are mostly brownish-black. The adult's head is small in proportion to its body and is red in color with few to no feathers. It also has a relatively short, hooked, ivory-colored beak.

Did it look like this?

I think what he's trying to say is that he saw a "WakWak", based from the sound that the bird made. It's one of those mythical birds that is said to accompany an Aswang as it hunts for human flesh.

it sounds like large Raven also known as the Northern Raven,

it is a large all-black bird in the crow family, they are strange

i call the little black birds crows, Raven have Intelligence like

a wolf, i shot one with a shot gun at 10 yards and it just flew away,

are Ravens with the dead and lost souls?

the ghosts of murdered people??

the souls of the damned???
