LONDON (Reuters) - Police have appealed for help with identifying a murdered man whose body was found at the foot of a notorious south coast suicide spot along with two other corpses.
The man, described as black with a "full Afro hairstyle and full beard", had been bound, hooded with a plastic bag, and stabbed to death before being dumped over the 160 metre (525 foot) cliff at Beachy Head, near Eastbourne.
"We are sure the murder happened away from the scene," said Detective Chief Inspector Tony O'Donnell of Sussex police. "It could have happened anywhere. I ask anyone with a partner, family member or friend who has not been seen for a few days to contact us."
The other two bodies, in varying degrees of decomposition, were not being linked to the murder victim and were not being treated as suspicious.
"It's a notorious area for suicides, and we often find things get churned up by the sea, especially after heavy weather like we have had recently," said a police spokesman.
Police said the murder victim was in his early 30s and about 5ft 8 ins (1.72 metres) tall. The bodies were discovered on Friday afternoon by a police helicopter patrolling the Sussex coastline
