Forum guidelines

Please respect the opinions of others. The conspiracy forum covers some sensitive and controversial areas and it is important that participants avoid uncivil behaviour. This means no flaming, no trolling, no flamebaiting and no personal attacks against other members.

Please try to keep an open mind, there is little point in posting in this section if you are unwilling to consider any opposing viewpoints. If you are unable to discuss issues without becoming rude and offensive towards anyone who does not share your opinions or beliefs then the conspiracy forum is not for you.

Members are also asked to avoid copying and pasting huge amounts of text from other web sites to support an argument. One or two quoted paragraphs and a source link are more than sufficient, and always include your own opinion to go along with any quoted material you use.

Well I had reserved a small bit of suspicion of the same, and it was in fact based upon rational concerns- unfortunately the facts I based it on were in error, being exposed to more facts lessened the suspicion to near nil.

Glad to hear it, batvette!

I don't think it's wrong to have a general distrust of our government...

Neither do I...especially when it grows to the size and has the power this present government has.

I was happy to be corrected for my errors. In being proven wrong, I learned facts I didn't know so don't consider it "losing an internet argument". Too many think credibility comes from insisting you are right for 100 posts when it's actually recognizing quickly when you are wrong.
I'm sure many hoax believers also display the "don't let facts get in the way of my beliefs" fault.
Our beliefs and opinions are formed by the body of subjective interpretations of actual facts, that we have been exposed to- that others have access to as well. If you come to a forum with your opinions and the facts they are based upon don't stand up to public scrutiny, falling one by one, it is honest and credible to adjust your beliefs accordingly.
I see it alot from the 9/11 people who don't help their side when they may have a real grievance with government ineptitude or even involvement in some form. (maybe Bin Laden was put up to it by someone- who knows!) Reasonable people won't look at it if they keep insisting the absurd is factual.

That's a hell of a great attitude to have.

I didn't consider it an Internet argument, to be honest.
You did what I've asked HBs to do countless times on these Moon threads...

Phrase doubts as questions.
It really helps the learning process!
