I had a perfect view, but it's clouded over now....the clouds are going in patches, so we see it every now and then.

It's almost over, we sat and watched it for over 45 mins.  It was so cool!

Save the Earth! It's the only planet with chocolate!

We had crystal clear skies tonight....leading to very cold temperatures, but great view!  It was a beautiful shade of orange/red.

By the way, the temperature is 12F right now.

  • It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.

profoundly awesome!
loved the added bonus of seeing Saturn's rings and Regulus!
Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo.

Yes sir...

A very pretty sight it was.
Almost like it was ordained, the snow in the Mid-Atlantic ended and the front had pushed through just as the eclipse began, and it wound up crystal clear and a full red-turquoise edged eclipse manifested.

A nice way to spend the evening...although I've never been able to get the idea out of my head of what it would be like once totality occurred...from the surface of the Moon.

Imagine being able to stand there, as the Earth passed behind the Sun, and seeing a red ring in the sky, and that reddish tint all around you!

Someday, hopefully...some human will see what no eyes have ever beheld.
