I love all of the myths from Dartmoor but there's three that I've never been able to forget;

Hairy hands
Golden Ghost
The Devil and his hounds from Two Bridges

Hairy hands???  unsure.gif

Is that a reference to spanking the monkey? whistling2.gif  blush.gif

If it is, I always remember being told that too much of it would make one go blind...   sad.gif

lol afraid not. There's been a legend since around 1910 where drivers and cyclists have reported suffering unusual accidents between Postbridge and Two Bridges. In many cases, the victims reported that their vehicle had jolted or swerved violently and steered off the side of the road, as if something had taken hold of the wheels and wrenched it out of their control.

I had thought that the story of Jerry Tucker was an urban legend, until it turned out to be true. Then false. What are you going to do.

My ***. They exist, because I was bullied by one around my late elementary/early secondry school year's.

when I was a teen I remember the spiders eggs in Bubble yum lore. pop rocks and soda , all the ones about twinkies .....

yep the spiders in the hair laying eggs in the scalp....

Mama Cass choking on a ham sandwich .....

and emails like ... I've gotten the perfume one a few times ...where your asked to smell a perfume in a parking lot which will make you pass out and then all sorts of horrible things happen.
