A look at the creationist museum which promotes the view that Genesis as oppose to Darwin explains the origins of life.

Never let the science and the facts get in the way of your archaic beliefs...

What a sorry situation.  "I believe it because it's written here in the Bible", it's tragic that words in an ancient book can mean more to somebody than the demonstrable truth.

I agree, science and religeon are an extremely volatile mixture, and should probably be kept apart whenever possible.  thumbsup.gif

Ha! I'm in Kentucky. Despite my lack of interest in contributing money via admission price I'm still tempted to visit this place. Should be amusing.

I have said it once and I will keep saying it . What a waste of $20 million. Why not help some poor people in america or in another poor country. They are christians are'nt they?

In this day and age no amount of money can go to waste like this. What do christians and church groups need
with a museum.

The way they reason I would like to start my own science where every theory I have is the right one. Then I can
receive my own version of the nobel prize for my prestiges work.  grin2.gif

Some people are blind to the facts put in front of them.. The Catholic Church is the biggest money making scam of all time and they still can't put the cash to good use.. Pathetic..

I know exactly what your saying, the bible has been way to roughly translated and is way to loosly interpreted to be a end all for any education of human history.

Although I do recomend reading it and I am Christian, I just don't think it should be seen a science book.

Look people, this is America. If someone raises money or has the money to build a museum that reflects any particular religion's beliefs then so be it. Why are you all up in arms about this? First of all the snide and silly remarks of the reporter are unfair. Say the creationists are wrong and silly all you want but if you don't want to go visit the museum then don't! There are millions of people that can find hundreds of ways that the secular science community wastes millions of dollars in their efforts. That's the beauty of America.

That isn't a museum. A museum's purpose is to educate the general public on what happened in the past. The things inside that building do not do this.

Someone should kidnap those cool robot dinosours and take them to a real science museum!

I think that it is useless to speculate about the origin of the earth.  People can't agree on who killed John F. Kennedy,
and that only happened less that fifty years ago.

How are you going to know for certain what happened when the earth was formed thousands (for evangelicals) or billions (for scientists) years ago?

I have been to the museum,I highly recommend any one believer or not to see it.There is many ways to argue both sides of the isle as far as creation and evolution.I am personally a believer in creationism. If glaciers carved out the mountains and valleys on earth than explain the moon and other planets that have no evidence of water ever. And yet the moon is covered with craters and there appears to be mountains and valleys on other planets.

But what if say your wrong but another religion or sub sect of christianity is right the cinsequences could be just as bad for you as for an atheist. I have no problem with what diffferent faiths people have or there reasons for having them. I personallly though dont feel that a particular  faith should be followed because your hedging your bets. Plus not all Christians believe those of different beliefs are off to hell many believe its more about wether they are a good person regardless of faith.

Oh and i just wanted to test in i am an 'evolutionist.' I consider that evolution is a sound scientific theory and as such has much evidence. I think the same of many other scientific disciplines but they dont come with a title. I am a little curious at the title that has been issued as it seems to serve ittle purpose than to create a divide between people. Are those who are christan but also understand and stand by the theory of evolution evolutionists or do we now need another title. Evolutionist christians, Creationism Christians, YE Christians. It seems so many divides. DO we also now need names for thsoe who adhere to other scientific principles. Are there gravityists, big bangists?
