The study of low frequency sound is giving science new perspectives on the natural world as well as helping to develop novel weapons technologies. Julian Trick reports.

Sound waves so low in frequency that the human ear cannot detect them may be behind ghostly sightings and haunted buildings.

I had heard of something similar before as well as the possibility that magnetic fields could be partly to blame.

I guess it would account for feelings of unease or fear in certain locations, but how can a sound wave account for apparitions or poltergeist activity or the communications from spirits?
